Many years ago (think 1989) Counted Cross Stitch and Country Crafts magazine published a pattern for a wallhanging based on a page from an "illuminated manuscript." I started the project shortly after and finally finished it in 1996 (total: 5 years). During stitching of this piece the magazine published a pattern for a companion piece which I also stitched.
Fabric - oatmeal colored Lugnasa linen, 25 count, stitched over 2 threads
Floss - DMC, Kreinik gold blending filament
I apologize for the quality of the photo - this piece has not yet been framed
I still have the magazine and pattern around somewhere if anyone would like additional information on the piece.
